City of Surprise is an all age family oriented community. Surprise has multiple subdivisions and multiple parks, some parks have playground equipment so there is always plenty of locations to spend the day outside with the family. There are multiple shopping centers and Restaurants throughout Surprise as well as Surprise Stadium, which is the spring training home of the Texas Rangers and the 2015 World Series Champions, the Kansas City Royals.
Sun City is an Age Restricted Community as well as an Active Adult Community. Sun City’s age restricted subdivisions offer a quite and enjoyable retirement life. The age restricted, active adult subdivisions offer daily activities as well as facilities like tennis courts, swimming pools, Pickle Ball courts, etc. Sun City also has multiple golf courses, for those that like a day out on the back 9. Sun City is one of the largest retirement communities in Arizona.
City of Peoria is an all age community with many subdivisions and a highly rated school district. Peoria is also the gateway to Lake Pleasant, one of the largest manmade lakes in Arizona. Peoria is a highly sought after community, with much to offer families and retirees. Peoria is home to the Peoria Sports Complex and Peoria Stadium, which is the spring training home for the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners.
Town of Wickenburg is a quaint little town that is rich with mining history. Wickenburg has become very popular within the roping community and has budded themselves, “the roping capitol of world”. Wickenburg is now up to 6 Arenas and holds roping’s every day during the winter months. Wickenburg is a great small town where life is a little more laid back and the folks wave at you. Wickenburg is located about 30 minutes north of Surprise Arizona.
City of El Mirage is located just South East of Surprise and shares the Dysart School district with City of Surprise. El Mirage is a smaller geographic area with some retail and shopping but the majority is residential. El Mirage is currently going through roadway improvements and has brought in new commercial company’s such as Goodwill and Family Dollar as well as added a couple new retail strip malls.
Town of Wittmann is located between City of Surprise and Town of Wickenburg. Wittmann is mainly residential with only one gas station and a couple of liquor stores. Wittmann is country living for those that want some elbow room. In Wittmann you can ride right off of your property on either your horse or a side by side. With little to no light pollution, Wittmann will give you those phenomenal Arizona starry nights.
Morristown is very similar to Wittmann. Being just north of Wittmann, it put’s it between City of Surprise and Town of Wickenburg as well. Morristown offers the same lifestyle as Wittmann. Morristown currently has a post office and single fire station. Morristown offers room to stretch and like Wittmann, you can ride right from your property. Along with your starry nights you will also hear the occasional howling coyotes.
